Actor

Vanessa is a classically trained actor. She studied at Collin College, Shakespeare & Company, Circle in the Square, and extensively with acting coach Ken Schatz of The Ken Studio. She can handle Shakespeare, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and everything in between. Her dearest career dream is to be a main character in a Star Trek series, but she’ll settle for, like, an Oscar or whatever.

Vanessa is a poet, a novelist, a writer of op eds and articles about the intersection of geekdom and social justice, an essayist, and a playwright. She often explores themes of trauma with an emphasis on healing.

Vanessa’s day job is ‘freelance copywriter’. People pay her to write real estate listing descriptions, business bios, website content, artist statements, letters, speeches, you name it. She is always happy to take your money in exchange for her real good writing skills.
